- The Director General of Civil Aviation DGCA) of Sri Lanka is the competent authority empowered to grant approvals for drone operations in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, Brazilian or other foreign nationals who wish to bring drone into Sri Lanka or operate drones in Sri Lanka for his/her own usages while on vacation in the country are directed to obtain prior approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) prior to any operation.
